Capital Credit union is one of Ireland’s most progressive and expansive credit unions, with a network of branches and over 55,000 members across its community.
CCU recognised the need to resonate with their expanding customer base and attract new members, and gave Matrix a brief to design and develop a dynamic new website.
From our initial user experience workshop, CCU wanted to highlight their ethos that they were “more than just a bank”. They wanted a digital platform that not only elevated their community-centric ethos and charity work, but offered a modern alternative to banks.
With Matrix, CCU’s stakeholders dived deep into every phase, from fine-tuning the branding to refining a website journey that truly centres on its members.


Matrix crafted a bold and accessible design for Capital Credit Union, blending their rich history with a modern suite of financial services under vibrant branding.
The website features seamless navigation, engaging animations and a user-friendly Loan Calculator, perfect for keeping members informed and collecting qualified leads. The web chat function enhances communication, ensuring that CCU listens to its members’ feedback.
Additionally, the ‘Green Zone’ showcases sustainable options like the Green Loan and ProEnergy home loan, aligning CCU with eco-friendly values and preparing it for a future-focused rebrand.
