Connecting the cyber security sector for business growth
Cyber Ireland was launched in 2019 to represent the cybersecurity sector and address the cybersecurity skills shortage. It has developed from a startup organisation to a national representative body and recognised best in class cluster organisation in Ireland.
The cluster is industry-led, hosted at Munster Technological University and is supported by government through the National Cyber Security Centre, Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland. It represents over 160 member organisations nationwide including 90 Irish startups and SMEs, 45 MNCs and 15 universities and training providers.

In the next phase of Cyber Ireland, the cluster aims to be the driving force to deliver on Ireland’s cyber potential. The four Focus Areas — Developing the Workforce, Building the Community, Driving Business Growth and Advocacy and Promotion are the strategic pillars of the cluster organisation to deliver its purpose:
- To support a sustainable pipeline of cyber security talent to meet industry demand and needs.
- To bring together the cybersecurity sector, connect organisations, facilitate information sharing and drive collaboration.
- To support business growth and the development of new innovations and solutions.
- To be the collective voice of the cybersecurity sector, advocating for our member needs and championing the sector through partnerships with private and public stakeholders. Digital4Security aligns closely with Cyber Ireland’s goals as it aims to provide a continuous supply of qualified cybersecurity management experts, helping to address the growing cybersecurity skills gap.
